Cotswold Gold White Truffle Oil is produced using extra virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil combined with high-quality Italian white truffles. The result is a delicately aromatic oil designed to add depth and richness rather than overpowering flavour.
Naturally high in vitamin E, rich in omegas 3, 6 and 9, and low in cholesterol, the cold pressed rapeseed oil base retains its nutritional qualities while offering a high smoking point. This makes it suitable for both gentle heating and finishing dishes, particularly where flavour balance is key.
A small amount is sufficient to enhance a wide range of dishes. It works especially well drizzled over pasta or risotto, added to soups, or used as a finishing touch for mashed potatoes. It also pairs well with mushroom and poultry dishes, cured meats such as Parma ham, and simple seasonings like lemon juice and black pepper. For a richer option, it can be combined with butter and melted into a pan-fried steak.
