Original Mayonnaise

Cotswold Gold Original Mayonnaise is a smooth, light mayonnaise made using extra virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil. Its balanced texture and subtle nutty flavour give it a distinctive character, while the natural colour reflects the quality of the oil used as its base.

Produced with free range eggs and cold pressed rapeseed oil, this mayonnaise offers a lighter alternative to traditional varieties without compromising on richness. The flavour profile is clean and versatile, making it suitable for both everyday use and more refined dishes.

It pairs particularly well with meat, seafood and salads, and works especially well as a dip for chips. The recipe was developed following appearances on BBC food programmes, before later variations such as garlic mayonnaise were introduced.
